We start the week on a mental note, as the Sun conjuncts Mercury at 6Gem, and then Mercury sextiles Uranus, 7 Gem/Aries.....new ideas, new directions. Then on the 28th, Mercury inconjuncts the Rx Pluto, 9 Gem/Cap, throwing a little monkey wrench into the festivities. The sun then catches up with Mercury and sextiles Uranus too, so there's something that pops out of the blue. But, then the sun inconjuncts Pluto and squares Chiron with Mercury, so there's some consternation on the 29-30. On may 30th, Neptune quincunx' Pallas......Neptune is emotion and illusion, and Pallas is pure intellectual thot, so there can be some odd mental energy going down. Then, towards the end of the week, Mercury moves out a little faster, and squares Mars on the 30th...some strident exchange, and then conjuncts Venus on the 1st, cooling things over, and finally trines Saturn, bringing some finality to it all. There's a partial lunar eclipse on the 4th, and then Neptune goes Rx at 3 Pisces.

Cory Booker's Gaffe
Mayor Cory Booker, (d) Mayor of Newark, New Jersey, inserted foot in mouth on "Meet the Press" yesterday and complained about the president's reelection campaign targeting Bain Capital. Who's side are you on, Cory?
Cory was born on April 27, 1969 in Washington, D.C. His Venus is at 10 of Aries. Pluto is squaring it and Uranus is moving in to conjunct it. Venus is you in the chart. Pluto brings pressure to bear at this time, and Uranus exposes that power. One wonders if Booker is a is an undercover operative for Romney?
You recently saved a woman from a fire.....you should have quit while you were ahead.

Week of May 20th - 27th, 2012
A solar eclipse occurs at 0 Gemini on the 20th. Gems will be the center of attention in the next six month period. It's a mental week with Mercury triggering off most of the action. On the 21st, Mercury conjuncts Jupiter at 25Taurus......some good news arrives. Then on the 24th, Mercury enters Gemini, and on the 25th it sextiles Pallas., and right away squares Neptune and then sextiles Uranus on the 27th. In the midst of all that clarity and clean mental thought, Neptune pops in to muddy the waters a bit, and things aren't clear. Something is revealed and then those who don't like the truth move in to sabotage and create confusion; particularly when the sun squares Neptune, too, on the 23rd at 3 Gem/Pisces....just before Sun and Mercury conjunct at 6 Gem on the 27th. Listen for the pearls of wisdom in the fog.
In the midst of it, the Sun squares Neptune as well on the 23rd, we can take it to its highest expression of spirituality, or get bogged down in the emotion of it all.
The Moon goes thru Taurus, Gemini, Cancer and Leo this week.
For Mitt Romney, the Sun and Mercury conjunct his ascendant at the eclipse.....sure to be a mental time. Gems laugh at themselves for being able to start speaking at times, not know where it's going but create it along the way. Paired with Pisces, which doesn't like confrontation (altho Saturn conjunct Pluto in natal chart can trump that at times) the old noggin' can be feverishly trying to come up with what he wants to impart as the words tumble out of his mouth.
The Sun and Mercury also conjuncts/oppose his north/south nodes, bringing up stuff from the past on the 26th... and then around the 27th they square Mars, which triggers an angry exchange or some precipitous words that would love to be taken back. The duo trine the Midheaven on the 27th, which should smooth it over a bit.
President Barack Obama finds the eclipse occurring in his 4th house of roots and foundation, conjuncting his own moon. His emotions are tugged regarding something about his mom...or the country. The Sun trines his Jupiter on the 21st...Jupiter ruling politics, maybe he finally gets some cooperation. It's a strong week as Jupiter squares Uranus on the 22nd and then trines Saturn later in the day. Something large and expansive can be tempered with caution, but still works out on his behalf. Sun and Merc conjunct the moon from the 23rd-25th, but then they square Chiron and Pluto by the end of the week, so some past wounding can surface.
In the United States' chart, the eclipse occurs on the ascendant as well, and then the sun and Mercury conjunct it on the 25-26th......some news is released.
Elizabeth Warren gets some good news on the 20th as the Sun trines her Jupiter, but it can be tempered on the 21st as it squares Saturn and the chickens come home to roost. Spirits brighten on the 24th tho, when Mercury trines Jupiter, and later in the day it squares Saturn too, so its an emotional roller coaster week. Saturn has been going back and forth over her nodes which triggers some patterns of the past. By the end of the week there is some clear thought and ideas are poppin'.
Claire McCaskill - a challenge starts the week, but aspects get better as the week goes along, with Venus sextiling Pluto on the 24th......good vibes for her to get a key endorsement or the like. Not content with that, Venus trines Saturn and Neptune sure to brighten her spirits.

Solar Eclipse this Sunday - Astro Insights
There is a solar eclipse on May 20th at 0 of Gemini. Wherever Gemini is in your chart is what will be on the front burner for the next 6 months or so. We see the results 90 days later, or in and around August 20th.
Aries: You like to use your mind in whatever interests you. Now, communication, writing, internet, www, all these things come to the fore, and you can decide to write something for work....or siblings in general, and the one born after you in particular can come into focus for some needed TLC.
Taurus: You earn your money thru your mental abilities, and now this comes to light as you focus your interests on money and how you can get more of it.....always a delightful accomplishment to your mind! The fact that this grand trine of Pluto in Cap and Mars in Virgo....and then planets flitting thru Taurus adds to your money quotient is just the frosting on the cake.
Gemini: You are on the front burner, Gem, altho if you're born past the ingress into Gemini you'll feel it "behind the scenes" for a period, since it's on the first day of the sign. It's time for you to get the recognition you deserve. Go out there and strut your stuff and show Ôem how valuable you are.......to anything you put your mind to.
Cancer: There are those in the know who have been watching you, and now they are about to offer you a new job, or promotion, or in some way show light on what has been in the dark. You may be involved with a step father, or find your mate has some intrigue on the job. The money of a sibling one older than you can involve you.
Leo: Career money beckons during this solar eclipse....also dad's money, any of which can be yours if you play your cards right. Friends vie for your attention and a sibling one older can get into the mix. This is an air sign eclipse so use your noggin' to make advancements.
Virgo: The eclipse 'shines'.....(if an eclipse can 'shine'!)....in your 10th house of career. Time to may hay while the sun shines, and use this time to enhance career options. Something from the past regarding your father can come to light.
Libra: You love education, Lib, and now is the time to go back to school, or in some way take a class that enhances your chances for advancement on the job or towards your career. You might want to get away on a vacation, but its probably better to wait for the fall, to see what this Uranus/Pluto square in June does.
Scorpio: The eclipse occurs in your own 8th house of sex, death and taxes! Well, that's what they called it in the old days. Now it's more the house of mate's money, grandparents' money, and the money of your second cild. Obviously, money issues abound and somehow, with your financial acumen, you get into the middle of it.
Sag: Your mate is in the spotlight for the next 6 months. You'll get your turn later, Sag, but right now it's good to support your mate as well as second child in their endeavors. This is also the area of your shadow energy, so watch these people and see how they are acting out the 'stuff' that you think is hidden in your own personality.
Capricorn: The J O B is center stage for you Cap. Also pets and step moms come in here in this house. Your step mom can be a bigger part of your life at this time, or her issues take more of the spotlight to your chagrin.
Aquarius: Love and kids abound as the eclipse occurs in your 5th house of avocation, hobbies, sports, kids......and.....love affairs. Someone new can come into your life now, or someone from your past you thought you lost, can reappear.
Pisces: Home and mother need your attention, and you'll be trying to balance your own needs and daily errands along with dealing with house repairs or mom's needs. You might be moving and not know it now.
We're building to the exact stress point between Uranus and Pluto in June, and then in July, the moon and Mars create a grand cross with them......like an LA commute logjam...nothing can move without a big burst of energy.

Katie Lowes stunning on Scandal finale
Katie Lowes opened the season on "Scandal" being hired by Olivia Pope to join her eclectic group in their crisis management. She closed the season in a stunning moment when her character "Quinn" finds her boy friend dying on the floor of his apartment with scissors in his throat. If that doesn't win her an Emmy I don't know what will. Absolutely gripping.
Katie, it seems, doesn't reveal herself. Couldn't find a birthdate. We know she was born in Queens, that she was on some soaps and now on "Scandal" with appearances on other Sandra Rhimes' shows (Grey's and Private Practice) which undoubtedly brought her to the attention of the lady scribe to hire her for this role. When someone plays it close to the vest, I immediately think.....Scorpio? She may be a Scorpio or Scorpio rising, or planets in Scorpio.....or Pluto in a major position which would make her chart feel like a Scorpio....1979 - year of the Sheep? Time will tell. The birthdate will come out at some point. In the meantime, I'll just have to content myself with watching the DVR of Season One. Katie will be the breakout star from this series.

Scott Thompson out at Yahoo
Ah, if you're going to enhance your resume, check to see if Uranus is going to aspect Pluto at any time before you retire. Scott Thompson, formerly with PayPal, who recently took over at Yahoo, had to step down when it was revealed that he had said he had a degree he didn't. I'm sure that's done a lot, but it depends on your stars whether it's revealed or not.
Scott is a Scorpio, born November 13, 1957, around Boston, Massachusetts. A Scorpio with a Leo moon, his Venus is in Capricorn at 7 degrees, and Pluto recently went over it and Uranus is squaring it. Venus is you in the chart, so it was something personal which was revealed. Scorpios are known for keeping things close to the vest, revealing only what they want you to know......and aren't beyond doing what's necessary to gain power and prestige. So, a Scorpio, ruled by Pluto, finds Uranus coming in to expose that which has been hidden, and for him they had to zero in on Venus.
Remember, Scott......millionnaires don't believe in astrology.....billionaires do!

Happy 28th Birthday, Mark Zuckerberg
Mark Zuckerberg, who created Facebook, turns 28 today, May 14th. He was born in 1984 in White Plains, New York. One look at his chart, with the Sun and Venus in Taurus (being trined by Pluto shortly) and Pluto, Saturn, Moon and Mars in Scorpio, and you know it's a money chart.
I remember an article in Dell's Horoscope magazine....30 years ago? Maybe more. It was a way to calculate money acumen in the chart. To do it, you added up all the planets in Taurus, all the planets in Scorpio, included Venus and Pluto somehow.....and here we have Venus in its own sign, Taurus, and Pluto at the beginning of Scorpio, its own sign, doubling the count there. The author said that Queen Elizabeth, Johnny Carson and Lucille Ball had the highest numbers.
We don't have the time of birth but one would have to think that Uranus in Sag is figured prominently since Uranus rules computers.....altho Neptune rules software and Uranus more hardware....but Uranus is the collective conscious, so that would seem to be more prominent.
It wasn't easy born in 1984, with Pluto moving over his Saturn and moon when he was 3-5. His early years were probably not kind. But he made up for that!
Just because one has a strong Taurus/Scorpio chart though, doesn't mean success, or success that sustains. I know of an actress of the 60's whose total was 54 in her count (can't remember how it was configured now) while Queen Elizabeth had a 30......and yet initial success didn't lead to a life of wealth...go figure.
